From office to artisan: My beginning
My journey into the world of curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings began unexpectedly. After working in a London office for many years, redundancy in 1999 led me to an exciting new path. I started working with my mother, who had an established curtain making business in Kent, initially just to fill my days while looking for another job but it was there that I discovered a talent and a true enjoyment for the craft, so I never left! I am forever grateful for the knowledge and skills my Mother passed on to me as I now work on my own and continue to enjoy creating beautiful material things for peoples homes.
Bringing your vision to life
I pride myself on a friendly, timely service with free measuring and quotations, including working out how much fabric you require for your project. I work closely with you to transform your ideas into reality. Being a small business, I don't have pattern books but while customers supply their own face fabrics, I can provide all other necessary linings, materials, and sundries. Your vision is my priority, and I strive to make the creation of your bespoke curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings a special and enjoyable experience.
Service area is Hawkhurst and surrounding villages and towns within about 10 miles.
*Installation of tracks, poles and blinds isn't something I'm able to do but Roman Blinds are delivered completely ready to be fixed and I do hang curtains to ensure they're just right.
Rebecca has just made curtains for our Sitting Room and they are absolutely beautiful. I can highly recommend her curtain and cushion cover making skills. In addition Rebecca is a delight to liaise with.
